Development Communication Masters

This course is a new offering by Journalism, as part of a Development Communication specialisation within the Masters course. It examines the paradigmatic shifts within international development cooperation, from the top-down modernisation strategies of the 50s and 60s to today’s process-oriented models that emphasise participation and dialogue. This course examines debates around the role of communication in development and explores the potential for utilising mainstream, community and social media to involve stakeholders in development initiatives.
